Selling flowers is unlike most retail: the decision is quick and usually made under pressure — an occasion approaching, or an apology that has to arrive today. The shop that makes ordering easiest in that moment wins the sale.
Ordering through messages wastes both sides' time: address, timing, card, payment — ten messages at least. An order page that collects all of it once reduces mistakes and lets someone order at 1am without waiting for a reply.
Occasions are the biggest repeat opportunity. The customer who ordered for an anniversary last year is your easiest customer this year — provided you remember and remind them. Recording the occasion and sending a nudge days before turns a one-off buyer into an annual one.
In peak season, organisation is the difference. When orders sort themselves by area and time slot, delivery gets faster and mistakes drop, and you can close same-day ordering at a sensible hour instead of losing the whole day to chaos.
