What makes a landing page work

One page with one job — and how to write it.

What makes a landing page work

A landing page is not a small website. It removes everything that could distract from a single action.

The order that works

  • A headline naming the outcome
  • A line explaining how
  • Proof: images, numbers or testimonials
  • Objections and answers
  • One button, repeated, worded identically

What to remove

Navigation, outbound links and any second call to action. Every extra choice reduces completion.

Ask of every element: does this move the visitor toward the action? If not, delete it.

Measure

A landing page without measurement is not a landing page. Track visits and completions, then test a new headline.

Turn the idea into a controlled launch

Start with the customer action the project must make easier: call, book, request a quote, buy or visit. That decision determines the page structure, content and tracking. A long feature list without a primary action usually produces an attractive project that nobody can measure.

Launch the smallest complete version, not a half-finished large version. Give one owner responsibility for content and approvals, test the full journey on a real phone, and record a baseline before launch. Improve from customer behaviour after launch rather than from internal opinions alone.

  • Define one primary conversion and at most two supporting actions.
  • Prepare final Arabic and English content before visual approval.
  • Test forms, calls, maps, checkout and messages on real devices.
  • Assign an owner and review performance every month.

A topic-specific field checklist

  • Match the headline to one audience, one problem and the promise made in the ad or search result.
  • Place proof, offer details, objections and one primary action in a logical reading sequence.
  • Remove navigation and fields that do not help the conversion.
  • Track view, meaningful engagement, form start, qualified submission and resulting sale.

Details most proposals miss

Search growth comes from covering a real decision better than the available alternatives and making that answer technically discoverable. Publishing volume alone does not create authority; evidence, clear structure, internal links and sustained updates do.

  • Intent map separating information, comparison, local and transaction queries.
  • Content briefs with question, evidence, page owner and next action.
  • Internal links based on the visitor’s next decision, not random keywords.
  • Indexing and structured-data checks after release.
  • A refresh queue driven by declining queries, outdated facts and new customer objections.

The TechMate implementation layer

TechMate connects content planning to the site structure and lead measurement. That means the team can see which query reached which page, what action followed and whether the enquiry was commercially useful.

  • Arabic phrasing researched independently from English terminology.
  • Reusable content components without publishing duplicate thin pages.
  • Search Console and analytics reviewed together.
  • Technical SEO acceptance included in page delivery.
  • Articles connected to relevant services, solutions and conversion routes.

Delivery phases that reduce risk

Treat search content as a maintained product. Research, page design, technical release, measurement and refresh ownership all matter; publishing is the midpoint, not the finish.

  • Collect customer language, search results and business evidence.
  • Choose one primary intent and supporting questions.
  • Write the strongest useful page, then add internal routes.
  • Validate crawl, metadata and structured information.
  • Review queries and refresh decisions on a schedule.

Questions that reveal implementation quality

  • What decision will this page help the visitor make?
  • What original evidence can competitors not easily copy?
  • Which existing page might compete with this one?
  • What action should follow the answer?
  • When will facts, links and performance be reviewed?

A realistic scenario

Example: an ad promises a same-day quote but the page starts with company history and a seven-field form. Repeat the promise, show eligibility and proof, then ask only what is needed to deliver that quote.
