How to choose the right keywords

The words that bring customers rather than visitors — a big difference.

How to choose the right keywords

Not every visitor is a customer. The right keyword is typed by someone ready to pay.

Two kinds of search

  • Informational: "what is an ERP" — far from buying
  • Commercial: "ERP price in Egypt" — very close

Target the second on service pages and the first in articles.

How to find them

  • Type your service into Google and read the suggestions
  • Check the "people also ask" box
  • Ask existing customers what they searched
  • Look at competitor ads — they pay for profitable words

Longer phrases are easier. "Web design company in Mansoura" is far less contested than "web design".

One page per intent

Do not cram every keyword into one page. Each intent deserves its own.

Measure growth as a business result

Traffic, followers and impressions are diagnostic numbers, not the final result. Choose the event closest to revenue—qualified lead, booked appointment, completed order or repeat purchase—and make it a key event in analytics. Record the current baseline before changing the site or campaign.

Review performance by channel, landing page and customer segment. Keep tests long enough to collect a useful sample and change one major variable at a time. Growth work also needs operational follow-through: fast replies, accurate stock and a clear offer can matter more than another increase in ad spend.

  • Choose one revenue-linked key event and verify that it fires.
  • Record cost, qualified conversions and resulting revenue by channel.
  • Change one major variable per test and write the result down.
  • Check response time, stock and sales follow-up before raising spend.

A topic-specific field checklist

  • Group queries by intent—learn, compare, buy or find a local provider—before looking at volume.
  • Choose topics where the business has real evidence and a useful next step.
  • Map each cluster to one canonical page to avoid internal competition.
  • Review actual Search Console queries and update gaps, titles and internal links.

Details most proposals miss

Search growth comes from covering a real decision better than the available alternatives and making that answer technically discoverable. Publishing volume alone does not create authority; evidence, clear structure, internal links and sustained updates do.

  • Intent map separating information, comparison, local and transaction queries.
  • Content briefs with question, evidence, page owner and next action.
  • Internal links based on the visitor’s next decision, not random keywords.
  • Indexing and structured-data checks after release.
  • A refresh queue driven by declining queries, outdated facts and new customer objections.

The TechMate implementation layer

TechMate connects content planning to the site structure and lead measurement. That means the team can see which query reached which page, what action followed and whether the enquiry was commercially useful.

  • Arabic phrasing researched independently from English terminology.
  • Reusable content components without publishing duplicate thin pages.
  • Search Console and analytics reviewed together.
  • Technical SEO acceptance included in page delivery.
  • Articles connected to relevant services, solutions and conversion routes.

Delivery phases that reduce risk

Treat search content as a maintained product. Research, page design, technical release, measurement and refresh ownership all matter; publishing is the midpoint, not the finish.

  • Collect customer language, search results and business evidence.
  • Choose one primary intent and supporting questions.
  • Write the strongest useful page, then add internal routes.
  • Validate crawl, metadata and structured information.
  • Review queries and refresh decisions on a schedule.

Questions that reveal implementation quality

  • What decision will this page help the visitor make?
  • What original evidence can competitors not easily copy?
  • Which existing page might compete with this one?
  • What action should follow the answer?
  • When will facts, links and performance be reviewed?

A realistic scenario

Example: a high-volume phrase may attract students while the service needs business buyers. Review the result type, wording and existing enquiries; commercial fit can matter more than raw search volume.
